The task force is a great opportunity to take a vested interest in the future education not only of my own children but of all of the children within the district. We have a significant need not only for additional space for our students but also to ensure the classes and education being offered with the facilities we have meet the needs of our students. The work done on the task force will shape educational opportunities for years to come.

Our family moved to Crooks in 2017 from Sioux Falls. I am excited to help the district as we continue to see growth and expand the district's facilities for both students and the TV staff.

I graduated from Baltic High School and MVTS. I worked for Foreman Bus (the company contracted to drive for Tri-Valley) for 28 years. I worked as both a manager and now as a driver. I have farmed West of Baltic for 40 years. My wife and I have 3 children and 2 grandchildren who graduated from Tri-Valley. One granddaughter is a teacher at Tri-Valley now.

I feel honored and privileged to represent the Tri-Valley School District on this task force. I am a graduate of TVHS and have lived in the district my entire life. (My dad was in the class of 1968!) I am married and have 3 children. My oldest son is a TV graduate, and I currently have 2 children attending in 5th and 11th grade. I have a vested interest in the education of all our children. We are a combination of rural communities, and it’s vital we work together to give our children the best education possible. I want our students to be equipped to not only succeed in life ... but thrive and compete in this world.

I have served on many community boards--30 plus years on the Colton Elevator Board, 25 plus years on the Minnehaha Community Water Board, 20 plus years on the Minnehaha Funeral Home Board, and church, county, and Colton Community Building committees. I enjoy serving on boards and giving back to my community.
